A Fun Way to Spend Your Girl Scout Cookie Money

One of the most popular ways for scouts to spend their cookie money is to go to Build a Bear. In fact, back in November 2012, during the 100th anniversary of the Girl Scout year long celebration, my troop of fourth grade Juniors went on a field trip to Build a Bear. They made the Thin Mints Anniversary Bear, which was a hit with the girls.

Back then when I booked the trip, it was just like any other party package that you could purchase at the store. The only difference is that every girl was getting the Girl Scout bear and the Girl Scout uniform. However, now there are special Girl Scout Themed Party Package!

Everything your troop needs for this fun filled afternoon is included for one low price.

Because the bears and the new accessory choices tend to sell out early, I suggest you contact Build a Bear to book your outing today!

Updated October 2019

It's official! They are here! For a limited time only, your troop can go to Build-A-Bear and make the official Girl Scout S'mores Campout Bear. My troop went to Build-A-Bear in 2012, it was during November, the end of the year-long celebration of the Girl Scouts of the USA's 100th birthday. Troops like mine had flocked to the store to make these souvenir bears (my daughter still has hers), and about a year later finding them and the uniform became a challenge.

Whether you want to take a troop trip or just want to buy your own daughter a special bear, here is what is available now. If you have a Cadette or older Scout besides your Daisy, you can only get that style of uniform online. Find it here.

There are also many other accessories for the bear, not just the uniform. You can find the complete line of Build-A-Bear Girl Scout items here.

If you are a first year Daisy leader, then your girls will definitely want the Daisy Build-A-Bear.

For those of you who are bridging to Brownies, you may want to have the girls get both uniforms.

This is incredibly exciting for those of us who love Build-A-Bear! After years of having no Girl Scout line available, premiering this week is a new bear with uniforms for Daisy, Brownie, Junior and Cadette/Senior/Ambassador.

Both of my daughters had Girl Scout field trips to Build-A-Bear. Many younger girls want to spend their cookie money on this experience. Something that they have now are parties geared for Girl Scout of every level. When booking your party, you can select which level of scouts your troop is so they can cater to their specific needs.

These bears and uniforms will be available for a limited time. If you want to guarantee your troop's turn to build this special bear, you can book a party to create your own bear or buy them online.
